Humble beginnings

QuickPrint was first established in 1961, Gerald and Maureen Frayne identified a gap in the market to provide quality design, proof and printing services to the local area, while the product offering was limited the quality was without compromise, as the business demand grew the company adopted Service to the title – a loyal customer base within the local business community was beginning to develop.

Growth in the business

In 1990 the 2nd Generation of Frayne’s, Danny and Ann, began their reign and moved the business to its current premises in Sweetbrier Lane, Heavitree. As the client base grew, the first real member of staff employed, a lithographic printer, a few years later QuickPrint had grown to a workforce of five. With Danny’s keen eye and entrepreneurial nature it wasn’t long before the business was expanding its product offering and venturing into new markets.

In this millennium, the floor space doubled to accommodate a new wave of, larger and more powerful digital print and inkjet machinery. Our expansion led to the production of all-weather print, signage and display materials. Further investment led to the evolution of our in-house finishing techniques and widened our product portfolio.

QuickPrint a "Prestigious Family Print Business"

The first of four apprentices was Richard Frayne, our current Managing Director, who became the first to successfully complete a 3-year apprenticeship at Plymouth College for Art & Design as a lithographic printer, later expanding his skill set in Digital and large format printing, moving to the position of Production Director before taking the helm of the company in 2020.

Charity work

‘Over the past 20 years the team have taken part in the Exeter Half Marathon and Commando Challenge raising vital funds for local charities. In addition to members of the team rowing the channel – Ramsgate to Belgium and cycling from John O’Groats to Lands’ End, it is fair to say the team relish a challenge personally and professionally’

The evolution of print is here - we embrace the now.
