QUICKPRINT History

QuickPrint Service has its roots in 1961 with Gerald and Maureen Frayne at the helm. In 1990 Danny and Ann Frayne moved it to its present premises in Sweetbrier Lane, Heavitree. As the client base grew, the first real member of staff started in 1992, a lithographic printer. By 1995 there was a workforce of five.

In 1997 Richard Frayne became the first of three to successfully complete a 3-year apprenticeship course at Plymouth Art College for Print as a lithographic printer and more recently has moved on into the position of Production Manager.

2003 saw Rebecca Frayne join the business in accounts after gaining a 1st at Cardiff University in leisure tourism and business management.

The floor space was doubled in 2008 to accommodate new digital machinery.

2012 saw our '50 years in business celebration' when we ran several special offers for our customers and staff took part in the Exeter half marathon and commando challenge raising money for local charities.

In 2015 the digital machinery saw a refresh with a new Xerox Versant 2100 - a large digital press which prints superb quality at high speed, other additions include a large format 8 colour printer and a promotional item printer; among various finishing equipment to continue to ensure deadlines are kept over larger numbers of large and small run orders.
